Set XSpot beacons
Once you have created a site with its levels and imported its plans, you can integrate the XSpot tags into it using the XScan Tools application.

The XScan Tools app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. You can log in with your XS Manager account. This is application is more 'technical'. It is intended to the management of XSpot beacons, XSwitch relays as well as diagnostic operations. |
The integration of an XSpot tag in the map follows these steps:
- position yourself on the map at the building place and right level
- scan the XSpot beacon with your NFC smartphone
- place the beacon on the map and validate
Position yourself on the building from the map
The XSpot beacons menu of XScan Tools centers the map using your smartphone location. If it doesn't match the site you want to work on, zoom out until you see your site's icon. Tap on it and on the magnifying glass. XScan Tools centers the map on the building.
Scan the XSpot beacon
XSpot beacons can be scanned in NFC with the XScan Tools application.
NFC (Near Field Contact) is mainly used for contactless payments. Check if your smartphone has this feature.

To start scan, press the beacon icon and validate to scan in NFC. |
Then place your smartphone flat on the beacon in a vertical position. The area of your NFC sensor is generally in the upper part of your smartphone. |
Wait until a validation beep and the display of the following screen. Tap Move beacon in this group |
Place the beacon on the map

Tap on the map to position the beacon. You can change floors from the list at the right of the screen. Tap the check icon. |
By touching the tag you can edit it again: - move it - give it a name - configure a function - delete it |
The name assigned to a beacon will be used during the alert and geolocation phases. |
